Personal Injury
Personal accidents and injuries can leave lasting impressions on a client’s behaviour and emotional state of mind.
URBAN PSYCHOLOGIST carries out a variety of assessments to help clients, families and authorities to understand the psychological implications of a lasting injury.
Assessments for personal injury include:
- Pain from injury: By looking at the history of a client suffering from ongoing pain, as well as the mental state after the injury, we can make a comprehensive assessment, which can include treatment to manage the pain.
- Damage to the brain: Neuropsychological assessments can be carried out when there has been damage to the brain – such as brain disease or a head injury. This typically involves questionnaires and verbal tests, and if necessary, interviewing of family and friends.
- Medical accidents: In the event of a medical accident, we will look at the psychological implications and possible damages prior to, and resulting from the alleged accident.
